Request advice on occupational health and safety obligations for employers

Employers must determine which specific hazards may exist at the individual workplaces (risk assessment).

Such hazards can be caused, for example, by material contamination, defective work equipment, but also by the organisation of working hours, work content and the place of work.

When assessing the risk, you must also take into account the fact that young people or pregnant women, for example, are particularly at risk and may therefore not be engaged in certain tasks.

The Rhineland-Palatinate Trade Inspectorate, as the state authority responsible for occupational health and safety, is generally responsible for monitoring compliance with these regulations.
