Apply for compensation under the Infection Protection Act for uncovered operating costs

In the event of a ban on work or quarantine, as a self-employed person you are entitled to compensation for loss of earnings as well as compensation for any operating expenses that are not covered, such as rent or loans.

This only applies to operating costs that cannot be avoided.

You must also keep operating costs as low as possible.

Reimbursement is made to a reasonable extent.

This is a so-called "optional benefit". This means that the authority has leeway to assess whether a claim exists and how high it is.
