Prostitution Restricted areas Provision of information
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzBoth prostitution in buildings and street prostitution are no longer considered immoral in Germany. Prostitution becomes inadmissible if a so-called restricted area ordinance specifies certain places or times at or in which the practice of prostitution is prohibited.
A restricted area can be designated, for example, on roads, paths, squares and bridges, in railway stations and in all places that are public for the protection of youth or public decency.
Violations of these regulations constitute administrative offences that can be punished with a fine, in the event of repetition also as criminal offences.
