Youth social work (Streetwork)
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzStreetwork ("street social work") is aimed at adolescents and young adults who, as individuals or as groups, signal their need for help in some form and whose center of life is public space. In most cases, these are groups of young people who have little or no connection to other aid structures. Due to the affiliation of Streetwork to the Youth Welfare Office, young people up to the age of 27 can be cared for, whereby in principle anyone in need of help can receive advice. Street workers also support young people who are in public and mediate conflicts of interest with other users of public space.
