Pacs (Civil Solidarity Pact)

In some countries, unmarried heterosexual and homosexual couples have the opportunity to establish a civil solidarity pact (PACS- Pacte civil de solidarité), which gives the participants a legal status. In Germany, there is no adequate counterpart to the "Pacs". However, homosexual couples have the option of a registered civil partnership.
