Spatial planning procedures and simplified spatial planning check
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzSpatial planning procedures and simplified spatial planning checks are instruments for safeguarding spatial planning. They serve to check the spatial compatibility of a project. The spatial planning procedure determines whether they comply with the requirements of regional planning before the approval of plans and measures of spatial importance. In addition, it is examined how these plans and measures can be coordinated or carried out
Simplified spatial planning checks can be carried out for plans and measures that are of spatial importance, but for which the implementation of a comprehensive spatial planning procedure is not required. On the one hand, this ensures a spatial planning check, on the other hand, the scope of the investigations can be limited to the necessary extent. An essential feature is above all the shorter duration of the procedure (3 months).
