Applying for project-related or institutional funding as part of development cooperation

You can apply for funding for research and evaluation projects or corresponding institutional funding online or by post to the BMZ.

Clarify the requirements for funding with the BMZ and describe your planned project.

If you want to apply for funding online:

• Go to the website of the Federal Portal and complete the application online. The online application will guide you step by step through the information and documents required.
• Upload the required documents and submit the application online.

If you want to apply for funding by post:

• Send your informal application and financing plan by post to the BMZ.
• The BMZ will check your documents.

The BMZ will check your documents and may request further documents from you.

If funding is approved, you will receive a grant notification from the BMZ by post.

Your project must not have started at the time of application.

There are no costs.
