Apply for funding for a new project or a continuation project from the "Media and Freedom of Expression" funding program

You can apply for funding for projects on freedom of the media and freedom of expression by post or online.

Apply for funding by post:

• You discuss your project with the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
• You send your application and financing plan to the BMZ by post.
• The BMZ will check your documents.
• If necessary, the BMZ will request further documents from you.
• If funding is approved, you will receive a grant notification from the BMZ by post.

Apply for funding online:

• You discuss your project with the BMZ.
• Go to the website of the Federal Portal and complete the application online.
• Upload the required documents and submit the application online.
• The BMZ will check your documents.
• If necessary, the BMZ will request further documents from you.
• If funding is approved, you will receive a grant notification from the BMZ by post.

• You belong to the following institution: Deutsche Welle Academy.
• Your project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
• Your project must not have started at the time of application.
