Request funds for a funded project from the "Media and Freedom of Expression" funding program

You can request the funds online or by post from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

• Call up the online form on the website of the Federal Portal. The federal portal will guide you step by step through the required information.
• Upload the required documents and submit your application online. Alternatively, you can print out the completed online application and send it to the BMZ by post.
• The BMZ will check your application and contact you if anything is unclear or information is missing.
• You will receive a notification and the BMZ will arrange payment.

• Your project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Request for funds

There are no costs.

There is no deadline. However, you must request the funds within the project duration.

Payment is made promptly and is based on the payment date specified in the request. One application can also be used to request several payouts on several dates.
