Apply for a change to a funded project in the area of development partnership with the private sector

You can apply for the changes online:

• Clarify the need for changes in terms of project design, project duration and funding with the BMZ.
• Go to the federal portal and complete the online application. The system will guide you step by step through the information and documents required.
• Upload the required documents as a file or make them available as a download link and submit the application.
• If anything is unclear or information is missing, the BMZ will contact you.
• The BMZ will check whether the content, legal and financial implementation options have been met and will send you a notification of change.
• Later, the BMZ checks the implementation on the basis of interim and utilization reports and arranges for a corresponding payment or reclaim.

• You must be named as the recipient in the grant notification.

• Amendment or follow-up application
• Justification of the changes
• New financing plan (except in the case of purely substantive changes)

The approved funding is available to you in the respective financial year. It is not transferable to the following year. You must submit interim reports to the BMZ by April 30 of the following year. (Final) proof of use must be submitted no later than 6 months after the end of the project.

• Legal action before the administrative court
• As a rule, the funding can only be paid out to you once the funding decision has become final, i.e. incontestable. You can bring this about and thus accelerate the payment if you waive your right to appeal.
