Apply to the BMZ for funding for new and continuing vocational education and training projects

You can apply for funding for vocational education and training in development cooperation by post or online.

If you wish to apply for funding by post:

• You discuss your project with the BMZ.
• You send your application with all the necessary documents by post to the BMZ.
• The BMZ will check your documents.
• If necessary, the BMZ will request further documents from you.
• If funding is approved, you will receive a grant notification from the BMZ by post.

If you wish to apply for funding online:

• You discuss your project with the BMZ.
• Go to the federal portal and complete the application online.
• Upload the required documents and submit the application.
• The BMZ will check your documents.
• If necessary, the BMZ will request further documents from you.
• If funding is approved, you will receive a grant notification from the BMZ.

• You belong to one of the following institutions:
  • German Academic Exchange Service
  • Alexander von Humboldt Foundation
  • International Sustainability Campus
• The organizations eligible for funding in the respective financial year are listed in the federal budget. As this is adopted annually, changes are possible.

There are no costs.

• Appeal to the administrative court
• You can speed up the payment if you waive your right to appeal.
