Request entry of a language endorsement in the pilot's license

You can apply online for the entry of a language endorsement in the pilot's license:

• Go to the federal portal verwaltung.bund.de and complete the online application.
• You can upload your documents directly.
• Submit the application online.
• Send the original of your license by post to the LBA.
• The LBA will check your application.
• Once it has been processed and approved by the authority, you will receive a notification, further results documents and a fee notice.
• Once you have paid the fees, you can retrieve the decision in the form of the language endorsements entered in the license.

• You are
  • a natural person from Germany, an EU country or a third country or
  • a legal entity based in Germany or represented by natural persons from Germany, an EU country or a third country.
• You have passed all the required language tests.

• Copy of the current license (front and back)
• Copy of the test report of the completed language test
• Proof that the recognized language testing organization is authorized to do so by a member state of the European Union (EU) or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland
• Copy of the recognition of the exam authorization of the language testing person
• Declaration of German language skills

in the case of representation:

• Proof of authorization to represent
• Completed declaration form for criminal cases

in the case of a declaration of assumption of costs by the authorized person:

• Proof of the declaration of assumption of costs
