Allow tax consultants to inspect the professional register

The inspection of the professional register must be requested informally in text form from the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Tax Consultants and reasons must be given as to why inspection is required.

The Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Tax Consultants is responsible for tax consultants, tax agents and professional practice companies with a professional establishment or registered office in Rhineland-Palatinate.

The prerequisite for granting access is the demonstration of a legitimate interest.

If applicable, documents that document the legitimate interest in inspection.

There are no fees.

The Federal Chamber of Tax Consultants (BStBK) maintains an electronic directory of all members of the chambers of tax consultants in accordance with the Tax Consultancy Act. This directory of tax advisors is used to provide information to authorities and courts, persons seeking legal advice and other parties involved in legal transactions. The chambers of tax advisors enter the data stored in the professional register into the directory maintained by the Federal Chamber of Tax Advisors using an automated procedure. Anyone is entitled to retrieve individual data from the register free of charge.

A citizen can use the register of tax advisors to check whether a particular person/company has been appointed as a tax advisor or tax agent or is recognized as a professional practice and is therefore authorized to provide unrestricted assistance in tax matters.

The tax consultant directory, on the other hand, is not used to search for a tax consultant for a specific specialist area or with special qualifications. The nationwide tax consultant search service of the Federal Chamber of Tax Consultants and the chambers of tax consultants is available for this purpose.
