Enter additional ratings in the light aircraft license (LAPL), glider license (SPL) and balloon license (BPL)

Do you have a valid LAPL, PPL, SPL or BPL pilot's license? Then you can apply for one of the following authorizations under certain conditions.

With a license for light aircraft (LAPL):

• Aerobatic rating
• Mountain flying authorization
• Night flying authorization
• Towing authorization for gliders and banners

With a license for private pilots (PPL):

• Aerobatic license
• Mountain flying authorization
• Night flying authorization
• Towing authorization for gliders and banners

With a license for glider pilots (SPL):

• Cloud flying authorization
• Aerobatic license
• Night flying authorization with touring motor glider
• Towing authorization for gliders and banners with touring motor gliders

With a license for balloons (BPL):

• Night flight authorization
• Authorization for commercial flight operations

To apply for these authorizations, you must complete flight training. The scope and content of the training depends on your license and the rating you wish to apply for.
