Voluntary care of asylum seekers

The voluntary care and support of asylum seekers and refugees can take place, for example, in the following fields of activity:

• Accompaniment and support in language acquisition,
• Assistance with administrative procedures and correspondence,
• Assistance with general questions such as on-site shopping, waste separation, etc.
• Wardrobe
• Homework supervision,
• Games and handicrafts for children,
• Leisure activities of all kinds.

If you would like to offer refugees and asylum seekers active assistance with integration and care, you can contact volunteer agencies, volunteer centres and other coordination centres. They can join together as private individuals in a circle of helpers, or as an association, company or initiative they can come together to form a circle of helpers. This serves as a coordinated approach to supporting asylum seekers and refugees.
