Apply for a change to an entry in the trailer directory

If you own several trailers, you can apply to the competent authority for a trailer register. This lists all trailers registered to you. The trailer register replaces all registration certificates Part 1.

If the number of your trailers changes, you must amend your trailer register. You must notify the competent authority if you:

• register a new trailer
• deregister a trailer

The trailer register will then be corrected or supplemented accordingly.

You must also report changes that affect existing vehicles, for example

• Changes to the location of the vehicles
• Changes to the permissible axle loads, the total mass or the drawbar load
• Increase in the vehicle dimensions

You must submit the trailer register to the registration office for the changes. If you have applied for multiple copies, you must also submit these.
