Applying for a new pilot's license for aircraft and helicopters under visual flight rules, light aircraft, gliders and free balloons
Source: Serviceportal Rheinland-PfalzIf you hold a pilot license for airplanes and helicopters under visual flight rules (PPL(A) and PPL(H)), light aircraft (LAPL(A) and LAPL(H)), gliders (SPL) and free balloons (BPL), you can apply for a new issue in the following cases:
- You have lost your pilot license.
- The back of your pilot license is completely filled in so that the aviation authority or examining persons cannot enter any further information.
There is space on the back of the pilot's license for various endorsements, for example
- Authorizations, i.e. which aircraft or helicopter types you are allowed to fly
- validity periods, with date and signature or stamp of the examiner
- Additional endorsements or special entries, for example night flying authorization, aerobatics, towing authorization
