Submit a declaration on the practical training and examination of remote pilots

You can submit the declaration online or by post.

Online declaration:

• Call up the online application in the federal portal at verwaltung.bund.de. This will guide you step by step through the necessary information.
• Upload the documents required for your authentication and submit the application.
• The LBA will check your application.
• You will receive:
  • a confirmation of recognition and
  • a notification of fees.
• You transfer the fee.

Declaration by post:

• Call up the online application on the federal portal verwaltung.bund.de. This will guide you step by step through the necessary information.
• Print out the completed online application and send it to the LBA by post.
• The LBA will check your application.
• You will receive
  • a confirmation of recognition and
  • a notification of fees
• You transfer the fee.

bodies:

• They meet all the requirements in Appendix 3 to the Annex to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947 .
• They fulfill all requirements for the operation of the respective standard scenario and for the operation of a UAS in the context of training activities.

UAS operators and UAS operators:

• You are registered as a UAS operator with the LBA and have a UAS operator number (e-ID).
• You have already submitted an operating declaration for the relevant standard scenario to the LBA.
• You meet all requirements in Appendix 3 to the Annex to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947 .
• You fulfill all requirements for the operation of the respective standard scenario and for the operation of a UAS in the context of training activities.

• Application form

If you are submitting the declaration by post, you will need the form for authentication:

• for natural persons:
  • Identity card (copy),
  • passport (copy) or
  • residence permit (copy).
• for legal entities:
  • Extract from the commercial or association register with
  • identity card (copy) or passport (copy) and
  • Signature of an authorized representative.

Please extend your recognition at least 1 week before the previous recognition expires in order to avoid a new application for recognition and thus unnecessary costs
