Applying for an EU certificate of conformity for pharmacists

This confirms that your training as a pharmacist meets the minimum requirements of the European Union (EU).
The EU certificate of conformity makes it easier for you to have your training certificates recognized. Authorities abroad regularly require the EU certificate of conformity as part of the recognition procedure or authorization procedure for practicing the profession of pharmacist.
Application
How you apply for your EU certificate of conformity depends on when and where you obtained your qualification.
If you began your training as a pharmacist in the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) after October 1, 1987, you can apply for an EU certificate of conformity online or in writing by post to the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM).
If you began your training as a pharmacist in the Federal Republic of Germany before October 1, 1987, please contact the competent state authority.
If you completed your training as a pharmacist in the German Democratic Republic (GDR), please also contact the relevant state authority.
If you completed your training as a pharmacist in another EU country, in a signatory state to the European Economic Area (EEA) or in Switzerland, the authorities of the respective state are responsible.
