Request funds for a funded project from the Vocational Education and Training funding program

You can apply for funding for vocational education and training by post or online.

If you want to apply for funding online:

• Go to the federal portal and complete the form online.
• Upload the required documents and submit the form.
• The BMZ will check your documents.
• If necessary, the BMZ will request further documents from you and contact you if anything is unclear or information is missing.
• You will receive a notification and the BMZ will arrange payment.

If you wish to apply for funding by post:

• Go to the federal portal and complete the form online.
• Print out the form and send it by post to the BMZ together with the required documents.
• The remaining steps are the same as for the online application.

• You belong to one of the following institutions:
  • German Academic Exchange Service)
  • Alexander von Humboldt Foundation
  • International Sustainability Campus
• Note: The organizations eligible for funding in the respective financial year are listed in the federal budget. As this is adopted annually, changes are possible.
• You have received a grant notification from the BMZ.

Request for funds

There are no costs.

Payments are made promptly and are based on the payment date specified in the request. Payments can also be requested on several dates with one request.

• Appeal to the administrative court
• You can speed up the payment if you waive your right to appeal.
