Apply for funding from the ESF Plus program "Give advice - Yes to training!"
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) supports organizations that advise important caregivers of young immigrants or young descendants of immigrants. To this end, the BMAS has launched the new pilot program "Rat geben - Ja zur Ausbildung!" ("Give advice - Yes to training!").
The pilot program seeks new ways of approaching young immigrants and young descendants of immigrants. It is therefore not aimed at the young people themselves, but at their reference persons. This can be
- Parents,
- relatives,
- social workers and
- sports instructors and teachers from clubs
be. These reference persons are trained in their role as advisors.
The aim is to overcome barriers for young people in accessing vocational training and to impart knowledge about the transition from school to work.
Two fields of action are promoted:
- Field of action 1: Strengthening reference persons
- Field of action 2: Networking providers
Strengthening reference persons
Through the work of 16 regional and local sponsors, caregivers are to receive information, advice and training as advisors. This enables them to motivate and support young people in the transition from school to vocational training. Possible measures include
- Implementation of training courses,
- Visits to events,
- offers of personal advice and networking with regional players on the labor market.
Ideally, 1 project should be carried out in all 16 federal states as a model.
Networking providers
A further, nationally active sponsor should network the 16 funding recipients from the "Strengthening caregivers" approach and support their work. Possible measures include
- Organization of network meetings,
- Dissemination of information and good practices,
- Preparation of program experiences and creation of supporting work materials,
- Creation of digital content for social media,
- regular documentation of the program and final documentation.
Funding area
Funding is to be provided particularly in regions with a difficult socio-economic environment. A difficult socio-economic environment is defined as a region with
- above-average youth unemployment,
- an above-average proportion of recipients of transfer payments,
- an above-average at-risk-of-poverty rate,
- other meaningful indicators.
Information on the level of education, occupation, income and housing conditions can also be decisive.
Type and scope
As a rule, you will receive funding for a project in the "Strengthening caregivers" field of action for 3 years. In the "Networking providers" field of action, the duration is 3.5 years,
You receive the funding as partial financing in the form of a non-repayable grant. The amount of funding is up to 90 percent of the total expenditure.
The total expenditure in the field of action "Strengthening caregivers" should not exceed 830,000 euros per application. The total expenditure in the "Networking providers" field of action should not exceed the upper limit of EUR 3,100,000.
