Admission to dual vocational secondary school
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe Dual Vocational High School (DBOS - with completed vocational training) and the Fachhochschulreifeunterricht (FHRU - Berufsausbildungsbeggleitend) enable the acquisition of cross-occupational knowledge and conclude with an examination to obtain the Fachhochschulreife.
This allows you to study all subjects at universities of applied sciences, dual universities and vocational academies throughout Germany or take up training in the third entry-level office (higher service).
A transition to the Berufsoberschule II is also possible
The DBOS was set up for professionals who are no longer students at a vocational school. It leads part-time to the Fachhochschulreife. It is conducted part-time (evening school) and lasts a maximum of two years
The FHRU is for students of a BBS. It leads to the Fachhochschulreife during training. The FHRU is run part-time and extends at most over the duration of the course attended.
A maximum of 13 lessons per week will be given.
Teaching takes place in successive learning modules of the following subjects:
Biology or chemistry or physics
German / Communication
first foreign language (usually English)
Mathematics
Social studies
Lessons in a second foreign language (usually French) can be offered as additional qualifications.
