Coat
Source: Serviceportal Rheinland-PfalzCoat of arms of the city of Koblenz am Rhein
- On a silver background a red cross, in the middle covered with a golden crown. The continuous red cross is the coat of arms of the Archdiocese of Trier. The crown is meant to commemorate the Queen of Heaven, who is the parish church " Our Lady" (today: Church of Our Lady).
- The coat of arms can be found in this form since the middle of the 14th century. Since the 16th century, the crown has mostly been pushed out over the crossbar. Officially, however, the form described here is used today.
- The oldest main seal was used in 1214. Like the second seal, which occurred in 1237, it contained the image of the church over a wall of the esins that protruded at an angle. The seal of the Schöffen Siegel, which had already been documentary in 1282, showed a rose filling the entire seal image, the symbol of secrecy.
