Anyone who has committed an administrative offense can be fined or given a warning. If a road user has violated traffic regulations and provisions, this traffic offense is punished according to the catalog of warnings or fines. The amount of the warning or fine depends on the type of traffic offense.
Warning fine
Traffic violations that can be punished with a fine of up to 55 euros according to the catalog of offenses are subject to a warning fine. Offenses of this type are not recorded in the central traffic register of the Federal Motor Transport Authority.
Fines
A fine is imposed for traffic violations that can be punished with an amount of 10 euros or more according to the list of offenses. Administrative fees and delivery charges are also due when a fine is issued.
Offenses of this kind are entered in the central traffic register of the Federal Motor Transport Authority and points are awarded depending on the type of traffic offense.
