Building supervision
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe building supervisory authority is responsible for monitoring compliance with public building law during the construction, modification, maintenance, use, change of use and demolition of buildings. To this end, it must take the necessary measures. In addition, the following tasks of building supervision are regulated by law:
- Deciding on the granting of a building permit
- Issuing a preliminary building permit
- Repressive measures within the scope of building supervision (e.g. prohibition of use, removal order)
- Keeping the register of building encumbrances
