Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzYou can find the person you are looking for by obtaining information from your municipality's population register. There are the following types of information from the population register:
- Simple information from the register of residents
- extended civil register information
- Registration register information for political parties and voter groups
- Registration register information for landlords
- Self-reporting
- Group information
You can apply for information from the population register in person or in writing to the relevant office.
Some municipalities offer the option of requesting information from the population register online.
The registration authority of the place of residence of the person you are looking for or, in the case of self-disclosure, the registration authority responsible for your place of residence.
Fees will be charged. These differ depending on the type of information provided.
Only information on private individuals can be obtained from the population register. Information on companies or commercial enterprises can only be obtained from the trade register.
