Tree control and tree care

Many cities and municipalities in Rhineland-Palatinate create tree cadastres and regularly check the tree population on site with regard to road safety. However, if you notice damage to trees (due to storm damage or severe illness) in public spaces such as roads, public green spaces, cemeteries or children's playgrounds, you can report this to the responsible specialist office. This prompts further action. However, if your private property has been damaged by, for example, a supported tree from the public space, you can assert recourse claims in writing.
