Parenting, marriage, family and life counseling
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzChildren, young people, parents and other guardians can turn to parenting and family counseling centers for help with parenting issues, personal or family-related problems as well as questions and conflicts in connection with separations and divorces.
Depending on the age of the child or adolescent, developmental delays, sleeping, eating and speech disorders or anxiety can be reasons for seeking advice. Performance and behavioral problems often occur at school age and can increase in intensity during puberty. Parents often feel overwhelmed by their parenting duties.
However, parents' relationship difficulties and problems with separation and divorce also often require professional help and support from parenting and family counseling centers.
Parents and other guardians have a legal right to educational counseling. The necessary discussions, examinations and consultations are free of charge for those seeking advice.
Children and young people can also visit a counseling center without their parents being present.
