Quantities of water that are demonstrably not supplied to the public sewer can be deducted from the calculation of the waste water fee.
This applies to water quantities that are used for garden irrigation, the operation of a garden pond or similar.

The quantities shall be determined by calibrated water meters, which must be permanently installed.

The municipality is particularly responsible for providing services of general interest. The municipality of Weißenthurm has been responsible for water supply and wastewater disposal for many years. At an early stage, special-purpose associations ensured sufficient water supply and distribution to households and businesses as well as wastewater disposal.

In 1975/76, these special-purpose associations were transferred to the municipality of Weißenthurm's own operations. Since 01.01.1998, the in-house operation has been run under the name "Verbandsgemeindewerke Weißenthurm". In organizational terms, it is now part of Department 6 (Municipal Operations).

Department 6 "Municipal Operations" is divided into the following sub-divisions:

  • 6.1 "Commercial management"
  • 6.2 "Technical management"
