Awards of the country

The state of Rhineland-Palatinate has the opportunity to honour people for special merits in the municipal, social, scientific or cultural field.

For this purpose, there are the following award options:

• BridgesPrice; It honours organisations and committed people who promote the coexistence of people with and without disabilities, young and old and for the purpose of integration.
• Medal of Merit of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate: The Medal of Merit is a prominent honor for solidarity action and community spirit in voluntary work.
• Order of Merit: It represents a prominent honour for solidarity and community spirit in voluntary work.
• Badge of Honour: honours at least 12 years of voluntary work in various areas.
• Sports badge: distinguishes an outstanding sporting performance or special merit in sport
• State Medal for Special Social Services: honors individuals who have worked in the social field for many years of dedicated work.
• Rescue Medal: It is awarded to persons who have rescued people at their own risk of life or have averted an imminent significant danger.
• Max Slevogt Medal: It honours artists of the visual arts
