Economic Youth Welfare
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe Economic Youth Welfare takes care of the financial aspects of the various individual case assistance within the framework of the Children and Youth Welfare Act (KJHG).
Within the Youth Welfare Office, Economic Youth Welfare is responsible for the financial processing of the various forms of educational assistance (HzE), integration assistance and assistance for young adults in accordance with Social Code (SGB) VIII (exception: support for children in day care facilities and in day care). It also deals with the financial affairs of unaccompanied minor foreigners (umA).
The work area of economic youth welfare includes, among other things
- Recourse to parents or those seeking help who are liable to pay costs
- registering claims for compensation against third parties (e.g. pension insurance, health insurance companies or other authorities)
- Checking and approving one-off benefits or additional costs (especially for foster children)
- Payment of assistance for the living expenses of young people in assisted living
The responsibilities of the employees depend on the type of educational assistance. These are divided into the areas of outpatient, day-care and inpatient assistance and, in particular, according to the surname of the child, adolescent or young adult.
