Economic Youth Welfare
Source: Serviceportal Rheinland-PfalzThe Economic Youth Welfare takes care of the financial aspects of the various individual case assistance within the framework of the Children and Youth Welfare Act (KJHG).
Within the Youth Welfare Office, Economic Youth Welfare is responsible for the financial processing of the various forms of educational assistance (HzE), integration assistance and assistance for young adults in accordance with Social Code Book VIII (SGB VIII) (exception: support for children in day care facilities and day care). The financial matters of unaccompanied minor foreigners (umA) and the financial processing of services for outpatient integration assistance and integration assistance are also handled there.
The area of economic youth welfare includes, among other things
- Recourse to parents or those seeking help who are liable to pay costs
- registering claims for compensation against third parties (e.g. pension insurance, health insurance companies or other authorities)
- Checking and approving one-off benefits or additional costs (especially for foster children)
- Payment of assistance with living expenses for young people in sheltered housing
- Payment of outpatient assistance within the framework of SGB VIII
The responsibility of the employees depends on the type of educational assistance. These are divided into the areas of outpatient, partial inpatient and inpatient assistance and, in particular, according to the place of residence of the child, adolescent or young adult.
