AIDS counseling
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzAIDS counseling is offered in Rhineland-Palatinate by health authorities and AIDS service organizations. Counseling is confidential, anonymous and free of charge.
Counseling topics can include, for example
- the HIV test,
- infection risks,
- protection against infection
- fear of infection.
In addition, AIDS counseling provides comprehensive information on HIV infection and AIDS. Counseling can take place in person or by telephone. The AIDS help centers also offer e-mail counseling. The Rhineland-Palatinate AIDS service organizations also offer a wide range of advice and support services for people with HIV and their relatives.
Koblenz Health Office:
HIV counseling and HIV testing are offered at the Koblenz location.
However, it is necessary to make an appointment (by telephone or e-mail) with Ms. Frank. (This can also be done anonymously if desired).
Mayen public health department:
HIV consultations/testing are generally possible here in the mornings.
The offer is based on absolute anonymity and confidentiality:
- free and anonymous (on request also by name) HIV antibody testing
- Advice and explanation of the test result
- Prevention and health advice
- Medical, social and psychosocial AIDS counseling
The test result is usually available after one week at the latest. Rapid tests are not offered.
