Engage an election assistant
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzElectoral assistants are citizens who are entitled to vote and who, on the election day, lead the election process in the electoral boards as election supervisors or assessors and determine the provisional election result in the electoral district.
Serving on an electoral board appointed by the municipal or city administration is an honorary position. Every citizen is obliged to accept this position, which can only be refused for important reasons.
Municipal authorities are entitled to collect and process personal data from you as a person entitled to vote for the purpose of engaging you as an election assistant. As the person concerned, you can object to the processing for future elections.
Municipal authorities may request information from other authorities about their employees if they live in the municipal area. This concerns the surname, first names, date of birth and address. The persons concerned will be informed of this.
They must carry out their work impartially. You must maintain confidentiality with regard to the matters disclosed. You must not cover your face while carrying out your duties.
