Electronic proof of identity Blocking
Source: Serviceportal Rheinland-PfalzIf the electronic proof of identity has been activated, you can arrange for it to be blocked if your identity card is lost or stolen by contacting the relevant office.
The blocking is carried out by you personally via the identity card authority or by telephone via the blocking hotline and is initiated immediately.
At the same time, the identity card authority informs the police about the loss of the identity card.
To call the revocation hotline, you will need your personal revocation password (which you were given in your PIN letter).
If you do not have this password, you can ask for it at the identity card authority where you applied for your identity card. This requires your personal appearance and proof of identity.
