Apply for a postal vote
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzIf you have received a polling card but cannot or do not want to vote in your electoral district on election day, you can apply for postal voting documents. These contain the polling card.
The polling card will indicate where you can apply for postal voting documents.
If you are unable to use the designated polling station due to a disability, you can also apply for a polling card.
If you collect your polling card and postal voting documents in person from the city or municipal administration, you have the opportunity to cast your vote on the spot. The administration will ensure that you can mark your ballot paper unobserved and place it in the ballot paper envelope.
Voting papers and postal voting documents can be requested from the municipal administration until 6 p.m. on the Friday before election day in the cases specified in Section 25 (2) of the Federal Electoral Regulations and, in the case of proven sudden illness, until 3 p.m. on election day. Voters will receive an information sheet on postal voting with their postal voting documents.
In addition to the electronic application, the documents can also be applied for by post or in person at the postal voting office. The postal voting office in the town hall is located in the basement in room 027 during the usual opening hours of the town administration. The application can also be sent by email to briefwahl@woerth.de. Please note that all required data must be provided (see above) and that each person entitled to vote must submit a separate application; collective applications in one e-mail, e.g. for an entire family, are not permitted.
