Applying for the issue of a registration certificate part I

With "i-Kfz" you can apply for the registration certificate part I digitally. The registration certificate and provisional registration certificate are immediately made available online and must be downloaded or sent to yourself by e-mail within 30 minutes. You may drive on the road with this certificate for 10 days. If the provisional registration certificate is not retrieved within 30 minutes, you will not be able to drive immediately.

The registration certificate Part I will be sent to you by post together with Part II and the stickers for affixing to the license plate.

If you apply in person at the registration office, you will receive the registration certificate immediately.

The locally responsible registration authority in the district or city (registration office). In the case of natural persons, responsibility is based on the place of residence of the vehicle owner (in the case of several residences, on the location of the main residence) and in the case of legal entities, tradespeople and self-employed persons with a fixed place of business, on the registered office or the location of the branch office involved.

There is no deadline.
