A qualified energy consultancy is the first step towards using these options systematically and profitably for your wallet in your private household or commercial building.
You can get a state-wide free initial energy consultation in over 70 locations from the Rhineland-Palatinate Consumer Advice Centre after prior registration.
Free initial energy consultation
Whether it's a new building, an existing property or a rental apartment. The consumer advice centre answers questions about energy in the home and household: thermal insulation, heating system, electricity or indoor climate.
Experienced engineers and architects will provide you with expert and neutral advice free of charge thanks to funding from the federal and state governments
Heating system, thermal insulation, windows, solar system? The consumer advice centre looks at your individual living and building situation and is familiar with the legal regulations as well as all funding opportunities.
Energy cost advice from the Rhineland-Palatinate consumer advice centre
People with rather low incomes, who have high energy costs and payment worries, are helped by the consumer advice centre as part of the free energy cost advice. In a multi-stage consultation, the causes of the high energy consumption are investigated and solutions are found together.
The experts of the consumer advice centre
- check your accounts and contracts,
- try to prevent or remove an energy shut-off together with you and contact your supplier to do so,
- find out what savings opportunities you have in your home or if there are other ways to reduce your energy costs,
- think about what further steps could improve your situation in the long term,
- refer them to other counselling centres, e.g. if there is a risk of indebtedness.

We can offer you the following options for qualified and provider-independent advice.
Stationary energy advice from the Rhineland-Palatinate Consumer Advice Center
(personal consultation with an energy consultant in the district administration)
Free and provider-independent energy advice at the district administration every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 12:15 to 16:45.

In the 45-minute personal meeting, all questions relating to energy can be discussed. The advisor provides information on energy-saving options for the house, gives tips on insulation and on adjusting the heating system. Questions about heating bills, for example, and helpful information on the use of solar energy can also be discussed.
