Preservation of monuments
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe preservation of monuments is divided, among other things, into the preservation of monuments. It deals with the preservation and sustainable handling of our built environment, as far as these are cultural monuments.
These can be example:
- Architectural monuments,
- Monument areas,
- archaeological cultural monuments,
- archaeological monuments,
- movable cultural monuments
- Small monuments.
If you intend to carry out reconstruction work on your monument, or if a building monument has to be removed for compelling reasons, please contact the competent authority in good time.
Cultural monuments are divided into immovable cultural monuments (1. fixed individual monuments and buildings, 2. monument zones) and movable cultural monuments (1. movable individual objects, 2. collections and other groups of individual objects).
Changes to a cultural monument require a permit under monument law, which is issued by the Lower Monument Protection Authority. Repairs must be reported to the Lower Monument Protection Authority.
