Textbook lending

No written request is required to register for loan for a fee. An order is always made via the parents' portal of the textbook lending in Rhineland-Palatinate. If parents do not have Internet access, you can contact the school authority responsible for your school. The school authorities have so-called "service points" ready to support parents in ordering.

Please contact the responsible school authority (usually Verbandsgemeinde-, Stadt-, Kreisverwaltung or private school authority) with any questions you have in connection with the loan for a fee. You can find out who this is in individual cases in the school secretariat .

If the income exceeds the statutory income limits, textbooks that are used in the classroom for up to three school years can be borrowed for a fee.

In the case of paid loans, the fee depends on the textbooks borrowed. For a textbook used for one year, a fee of one third of the shop price is charged. A textbook used for two or three years is subject to a fee of one sixth of the retail price per school year.

The period for registration for paid loans changes from year to year and depends on the date of the summer holidays. It is listed in the leaflet for borrowing for a fee. The leaflet will be distributed to the students shortly before the start of the registration period at the school.
