Registering a child and / or several children in an after-school care facility

Please contact the youth welfare offices of the respective districts and independent cities or the desired after-school care center directly.

Childcare in the after-school care center is generally subject to contributions. The costs are determined on the basis of the parents' income and the number of children. Please ask your local youth welfare office for the specific after-school care fees. Costs incurred for lunch at the after-school care center are charged separately.

If your child is to attend the after-school care center, a written registration is required. This can be done informally. The same applies to deregistration.

The relevant office will also provide you with the appropriate forms.

The after-school care fees can be reduced for two to three children per family or for low-income families. As a rule, no parental contribution is charged for four or more children. An exemption is possible for families with a very low income. The decisive factor here is the number of children for whom a family receives child benefit or comparable benefits.
