Consumer complaints in the field of food control
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe (municipal) authorities responsible for food control investigate complaints from consumers concerning food, cosmetics, consumer goods and tobacco products, e.g. in the event of deviations in smell, appearance, taste, usability, labelling or disturbances of well-being. The authorities may carry out operational inspections on the basis of consumer complaints. The State Investigation Office examines and evaluates samples taken in this context. The locally competent authority informs the complainant of the outcome.
