Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzUpon request, you will receive information about the data stored about you in the residents' register.
The information includes
- the personal data stored in the register of residents,
- the recipients of regular data transfers, and
- the purposes and legal bases
- of the storage and
- the regular data transfers.
If the data transfers are carried out by means of an automated retrieval procedure or an automated simple disclosure of information from the population register, you can request information about
- the types of data transmitted
- as well as their recipients.
You can apply for self-disclosure from the population register in person or in writing to the relevant office.
Some municipalities offer the option of requesting simple information from the population register online.

Data transfers via an automated retrieval procedure or the data of the automated simple information from the population register are deleted after at least 12 months, at the latest at the end of the calendar year following the storage.
In exceptional cases regulated by law, information about stored data may be refused.
