Carry out street cleaning by public institutions
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe street cleaning obligation for you as a resident is set out in the street cleaning statutes of your municipality. Municipalities can transfer the responsibility for cleaning the streets to the residents. Alternatively, the municipality can clean the streets itself and pass on the associated costs to you as a resident.
You can also report defects or soiling in the city's infrastructure online at Worms Defect Report.
In Germany, the costs are based on the respective activities carried out by the chimney sweep. Since January 1, 2013 (see Sweeping monopoly section), everyone is free to choose their own chimney sweep and therefore negotiate their own prices with the chimney sweep for inspection, sweeping and measuring work. For the so-called sovereign tasks of the authorized district chimney sweep, such as the new inspection of chimneys and fireplaces, the so-called fireplace inspection twice in 7 years and the issuing of a fireplace notice, a uniform fee schedule continues to apply. The KÜO, which has been in force since January 1, 2010, allows chimney sweeps to charge "work values" for the fireplace inspection of a stove based on time spent.
