Submit an application for an increase in housing benefit
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe competent housing benefit authority is the district administration, in large district or independent cities the city administration.
- completed application form according to the official sample
- Rental agreement or purchase contract in the case of ownership
- Rent receipts or proof of charges paid in the last three months
- Rent certificate completed by the landlord or proof of charges completed by the bank
- Proof of income earned
As a tenant, you can collect your housing benefit application (rent subsidy) from the town hall at the gate or print it out here.
If you are an owner, you can also print out the application for housing benefit (encumbrance allowance) here or make an appointment for a consultation by telephone with the person responsible.

You can complete the application online and scan in the required supporting documents
- Scan the application and documents and send them to wohngeld@worms.de
- Sending the application and documents by post
- Post the application and documents marked "Wohngeldstelle" in the letterbox at the main entrance to the town hall
In order to avoid an interruption in the granting of housing benefit, an application for so-called 'continued benefit' (in the sense of an extension) should be submitted approximately two months before the end of the benefit period. (in the sense of an extension).
This is the same form as for the initial application, only you should then tick the box "Weiterleistungsantrag" (application for continued benefit) .

Negative certificate
Upon request (in writing or by telephone), negative certificates of housing benefit will be issued.
