In principle, you require a permit for the purchase and possession of ammunition. However, there are specific exceptions to this rule. In addition, you have the option of applying for an exception in individual cases, provided there are special reasons and public safety and order concerns do not conflict with this. However, this is only possible for cases that are comparable to the specifically named exceptional cases.

Anyone wishing to handle weapons and ammunition requires prior permission from the local weapons authority.

The declaration on the storage of weapons (see "Downloads"), together with photos of the opened and closed gun cabinet, the type plate and the invoice, can be posted to the city administration or sent by post.
