Vehicles belonging to a non-profit organization or a social service can receive a parking permit from the competent authority. This may, for example, entitle the vehicle to park free of charge in restricted no-parking zones, resident parking zones or parking management zones (parking spaces with parking meters or parking ticket machines). The exemption permit is usually only valid for certain individual activities of the non-profit organization or social service.

Please note the exact content of the exemption permit. When using the exemption permit, other people in particular must not be endangered or hindered.

Here you can only apply for a new resident parking permit online. However, for an existing resident parking permit you can only use the access data via the reminder e-mail, which you will receive 4 weeks before expiry. You can therefore extend a resident parking permit beforehand without losing any time.

You can also apply in person at the Citizens' Service Office (by appointment only).

Each resident of a designated resident parking district only receives one parking permit for one vehicle registered to him/her as the holder or which he/she can prove is used permanently. It is not possible to register several license plates on one resident parking permit.
