Source: Serviceportal Rheinland-PfalzIf you wish to work abroad in an academic or non-academic healthcare profession, you will usually need proof of the qualification you have acquired (proof of training). You will also need a Certificate of good standing (Certificate of good standing). This confirms that you are authorized to practice your profession without restriction. The certificate also shows that no professional or disciplinary action has been taken or initiated against you.
You can obtain a certificate of good standing from the local competent authority in the federal state in which you practice or last practiced your profession.

A clearance certificate from the tax office (enforcement) is required for trade licenses.

The clearance certificate is required for various reasons, for example
- Issuing a restaurant license,
- issuing a traveling trade license,
- Permission to carry out real estate brokerage, investment brokerage, investment advice, as well as for the preparation or execution of construction projects in your own name or on behalf of others,
- Permit for the commercial transportation of passengers by cab,
- Permission to carry out commercial transportation with vehicles,
- authorization to exercise the security business or
- awarding public contracts and so on.
The most important reasons for issuing are related to a commercial activity. Trade regulations and special trade laws contain numerous licensing restrictions, for example the Hospitality Act. First and foremost here are the trades requiring a license. Only the legally effective granting of a personal permit confers the right to exercise the trade.
As a rule, you will need a clearance certificate to obtain permission to carry out a trade that requires a permit. You will receive this, for example, if there are no outstanding claims against you from taxes, property levies and other claims in connection with commercial activities.
