Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe assistance is a free offer of the Youth Welfare Office.
An assistance can be set up for
- the determination of paternity, or
- the assertion of child support.
The youth welfare office of your district or your municipality or district-free city.
A written application to the Youth Welfare Office is sufficient.
The following are eligible to apply:
- the parent who has sole parental authority,
- in the case of parents who have joint parental authority, the parent with whom the child lives,
- the expectant mother (or her representative if the mother is incapacitated) if the child has not yet been born.
Upon receipt of the application, the Youth Welfare Office immediately assists the child. The assistance ends as soon as the applicant requests it in writing or the child has reached the age of majority.
