Special information for District-free City Mainz
Bulky waste can be disposed of by private households in Mainz several times a year (4 times free of charge). KAW Mainz|Bingen AöR collects the bulky waste from the edge of the property by prior appointment.
Registration for collection:
You can make an appointment for collection by telephone and using the online form.
Provision of the bulky waste
- at the earliest from 6 p.m. the evening before
- no later than 6 a.m. on the day of collection
- Easily accessible location
- Avoid dangerous situations due to excessive accumulation or spreading on the street
Bulky waste includes
Bulky items (max. 1.70 m wide and weighing 50 kg) from the household that do not fit into the residual waste containers available at the house even after being shredded.
- All furniture such as tables, beds, mattresses, cupboards, etc.
- Bulky household items such as large flower pots, suitcases, sports equipment, large toys, clothes horse, etc.
- Large electrical appliances such as computer monitors, televisions, ovens, refrigerators and washing machines.
must not be taken along:
- Items that are too large or too heavy (see above)
- Waste from renovation work, e.g. doors, toilets, fences, pipes, etc.
- Bulky waste that is dangerous during loading: e.g. mirrors, aquariums.
- Bulky waste that damages the vehicle: e.g. parasol stand with concrete base.
