Some cities and municipalities in Rhineland-Palatinate offer their citizens discounts on tickets for local public transport according to social criteria. The so-called social ticket is a discounted single or time ticket for the use of public transport by socially needy people (e.g. recipients of unemployment benefit II, social money or social assistance).

From 01.05.2025, only digital photos may be used to apply for passports, ID cards, travel documents and electronic residence permits.

At the Citizens' Registration Office, there is currently only a recording device in the Citizens' Service at the Kaiserstraße location. If the appointment takes place at the Foreigners' Registration Office or at one of the local offices, a digital photo must be taken beforehand in a photo studio or drugstore. We are no longer allowed to use printed photos. We will not be able to process your application without a digital photo.
